Paranoia is a common trait in the clients I work with... Whether it's a symptom of PTSD, anxiety, or a personality disorder, it takes time to build trusting & honest relationships. But IT'S WORTH IT. Use that empathy for their situation, and let them know that it's okay. Don't pressure or try to speed along the rapport process, or that may send red flags to the clients.💚⁠

Social workers are necessary and vital players in community change, social justice, and mental health treatment and supportive programs. We are the foundation of positive change. Don't let other professionals say otherwise.⁠
